The abandoned marble and limestone factory in the Ruskeala Mountain Park

Ruskeala marble and limestone factory

The marble and limestone factory in Ruskeala is the ruins of a once large enterprise that produced more than 35 tons of lime per day. An overpass and six towers resembling minarets attract the gazes of tourists. For many years, it was possible to wander freely around its territory, but since 2023, construction has begun on the third stage of the Ruskeala Mountain Park, which will include a new route through the territory of the former plant.
