Volcano Öræfajökull

Öræfajökull is the largest covered active volcano in Iceland, an ice—covered stratovolcano at the southern tip of the Vatnajökull glacier. On the northwestern edge of its caldera is Hvannadalshnúkur, the highest peak in the country.
