A small square in the Old Medina of Casablanca
The old Medina is built on old buildings, many of which date back to the 19th century. These buildings are a reminder of the city’s past, and the architecture is evidence of the city’s bright history. Unlike Marrakech, where most of Medina’s buildings are painted terracotta, Casablanca is dominated by white and various shades of blue, pink and purple, reminiscent of its proximity to the ocean.
