The Kopavogur Natural History Museum is part of the House of Culture. The museum has two main collections: geological and zoological. The geological collection tells about the formation of Iceland and the main types of rocks and minerals that can be found on its territory. The zoological collection is dedicated to the Icelandic birds, mammals, fish and invertebrates that live on the island.
