Mount Esja (Esja or Esjan) is the "guardian angel" of Reykjavik, as its peak is visible from almost anywhere in the capital. The mountain is a popular place for hiking and difficult mountain climbing, everyone who climbed the mountain should leave an entry in the guestbook so that the elves would not get upset.
