Kirkjufell is a mountain in the north of the Snaifedlsnes Peninsula. It is also known as "church mountain" and "Iceland's most photographed mountain". The 463-meter-high mountain dominates the surrounding landscape and harmonizes very beautifully with the picturesque Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, whose name translates as "waterfall at the church mountain".
