The Imagine the World Tower
The Imagine the World Tower (Friðarsúlan) is a memorial in memory of John Lennon, erected on the initiative of his widow Yoko Ono in 2007, she also designed it. The memorial is a pedestal made of white stone, on which the words "Imagine the world" are carved in 24 languages. The "tower" itself is formed by rays of light directed at the sky. The switch-on takes place according to the schedule, 2 hours after sunset and before midnight.
