Hvitserkur (Hvítserkur) is a basalt rock with a height of 15 m, protruding from the Hunafloi (Húnaflói). The rock is best visible from the eastern shore of the Vatnsnes Peninsula and got its name from the seagulls that nest on its top. The name translates from Icelandic as "white shirt".
