The Whale Museum (Húsavík Whale Museum, Hvalasafnið á Húsaví) is located in the Nordürland-Eystra region in the city of Husavik. Here you can find all the information about whales, marine ecology and the interaction of whales and humans throughout history.
The Whale Museum inside
Currently, the skeletons of 11 whales are on display here, including a sperm whale, a bottle-nosed whale, a minke whale and a narwhal. In 2016, the exhibition "Blue Whales" was opened. The presence of the largest animal on the planet in the building has made the Husavik Whale Museum one of the must-see places in Northern Iceland.
