The Friday Mosque (Hukuru Miskiy) is an ancient mosque located in the city of Male. It was built in 1658 during the reign of Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar I. Recently, the mosque has been restored with coral stone. There is a 17th-century cemetery around the mosque, the tombstones of which are made of coral stone and decorated with unique carvings. Since 2008, the mosque has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List of Cultural Heritage as a unique example of maritime culture architecture.
