The Poklewski-Kozell House (Museum and Exhibition Center) is the main administrative building Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The luxurious mansion of rich nobles and entrepreneurs Poklewski-Kozell, popularly called the "vodka kings of the Urals", was built in the 1870s in an eclectic style. Throughout its history, it has not lost a single detail — from furniture and fireplaces, to rusticated masonry walls and balusters will make you feel like a distinguished guest.
The museum has a permanent exhibition "The House of the Romanovs and the Urals", which tells about the influence of the Romanov family on the formation and flourishing of the Ural industry, close relations with the Ural Society of Natural Science Lovers and the investigation into the death of the Romanovs, as well as the history of the search for the remains of the royal family and the preservation of the memory of the tragic events that occurred in July 1918.
