The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), also known as Zaire. The country is located in the heart of Africa, while it has, although not large, access to the Atlantic Ocean in the west. The Congo River (formerly called Zaire) runs through the entire territory of the country.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of the largest and most populous states on the continent (about 112 million people live here), with a rich history, culture and natural beauty.
