The Tula Museum of Samovars presents an extensive collection of samovars of various shapes and sizes from the XVIII-XX centuries.
The museum is located in a historic building of the early 20th century, designed by Tula architect Vladimir Sirotkin in a classical style, and the location near the walls of the Tula Kremlin makes it convenient to visit as part of any city tour.
For three centuries, the samovar has been a symbol of hospitality and one of the business cards of Tula. After all, hundreds of types of samovars have been produced in Tula since 1778, which were especially appreciated by rich noble families – the samovar was considered a luxury item and pride.
Visitors to the museum can study in detail not only the history of the emergence and development of samovar production technologies, get acquainted with historical samples that can rightfully be considered objects of art, but also take part in master classes on Russian tea drinking culture.
You can buy various nice gifts at the souvenir shop.
