Hafnarfjardarkirkja Church is the oldest church in Hafnarfjordur. The church has a long history. It was built in 1914 in the neoclassical romantic style according to the design of Regnvaldur Olafsson, the first educated Icelandic architect. The first musical instrument of the church was a small organ for eight or nine "voices", which can be listened to to this day.
