The Palace Armoury (L-Armerija tal-Palazz) is the armoury of the Order of St. John. It is located at the Grandmaster’s Palace and represents one of the most extensive collections of weapons, armor, banners and artifacts of the Knights of St. John in the world.

About the museum

In addition to the main collection of about 6,000 items, the museum presents samples of German, French, Italian and Spanish weapons. The most significant items in the collection are the Italian sallet (battle helmet), the armor of La Valletta, the ceremonial armor of Alof de Wignacourt, the armor of Pompeo della Cesa, cuirassier armor, rapiers and swords and an Italian pistol with a Snaphance mechanism.
