The Orlov Paleontological Museum is one of the largest natural history museums in the world, with a collection of more than five thousand unique exhibits that have been found during archaeological excavations since the 18th century.
The unique building, reminiscent of a medieval fortress, was specially designed and built as the world's largest museum. In the courtyard of its central part there are various sculptures of extinct animals.
In six halls on a total area of 5,000 square meters, you can get acquainted with the ancient flora and fauna of the Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic periods.

Special attention should be paid to the decor of the museum: a panel by Elena Shelova made of white stone, on which you can see animals of the Early Paleozoic seas, and a multi-tiered copper chandelier by sculptor Peter Panchenko, paintings by paleontologist and animalist Konstantin Flerov and, of course, the composition "Tree of Life" with an area of about 500 square meters, which was created by animal sculptor Alexander Belashov.
