Galata Bridge is one of the most iconic sights of Istanbul. The bridge connects the historical part of the city with the modern Karakoy district across the Golden Horn Bay.
The bridge has become an important part of Istanbul's history since its construction in 1845. By our time, it had been rebuilt several times. The current bridge is the fifth in a row and has been in operation since 1994.
