The abandoned Cayo Levisa Hotel is located on the island of the same name in Pinar del Rio Province, part of the Colorado Archipelago. It was the only structure on it. It was opened in 1992, in 2003 new bungalows were built for living, but given the special status of the island as closed to local residents, it was focused exclusively on foreign tourists.
Presumably, the hotel could not survive the period of severe restrictions in the tourism sector due to Covid-19. But despite this, the island is accessible as part of day trips from 10:00 to 17:00, and abandoned buildings and rare visitors give it a special charm of an "uninhabited island".
Sun beds, towels and food are included in the price of the excursion visit.
